JavaScript Developer (Node.js + React)

We are looking for a full stack JavaScript developer, confident with React and Node.js, to help build a variety of solutions with a strong focus on bots, automation and custom integrations for the Workplace from Facebook platform. As a full stack developer, you must be comfortable around both frontend and backend coding languages, development frameworks, containerisation, and third-party libraries/API’s.

You need to be a clear and confident communicator, passionate about what you do, show technical leadership, with the drive to take ownership of projects and deliver to meet our customers’ high expectations.

You will design solutions using tried and test methodologies; our customers depend on it. You will work on a mixture of new and existing projects, building frontend solutions with React/ES6, HTML, CSS, etc., and backend solutions and API’s with Node.js. You embrace containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes. You have a knack for writing good quality technical documentation and tests, and a dedication to performing code reviews and providing objective feedback.

Responsibilities

Your day to day responsibilities include:

  • Hone and share your craft(s)
    • Refine your craft(s), constantly applying on engineering, experience and success engagements
    • Share your craft(s) with the team. Train and support new team members as needed
    • Co-develop thought leadership (internal, partner facing, community facing, and external) and IP (frameworks, tools)
    • Awareness of secure practices, development and delivery of solutions strictly inline with the Enablo ISMS framework for ISO27001 compliance
  • Seamless client technical experiences
    • Support any technical project
    • Support any technical support request
    • Lead low – medium complexity projects
  • Ongoing client success experience
    • Support any success project
    • Support value added reseller initiatives
  • Business development and commercial acumen
    • Co-develop estimates [i.e. user stories and costing] for low – medium complexity projects
    • Awareness of project management and commercial principals (eg. Project Budgets, etc.)
  • Development of the Enablo Practice
    • Operate as a senior member of the team, leading team rituals and amplifying the Enablosophy
  • Partnering with Facebook
    • Operate with awareness of our responsibilities toward our partner/Facebook

About you — What we’re looking for:

Well, we’re after a JavaScript Developer who delights in servicing clients and knows a thing or
two about implementing cool, people-centered tech.

  • 3+ years proven experience as a full stack developer or similar role
  • Tertiary level degree (e.g. computer sciences) or demonstratable equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of frontend and backend technologies
    • JavaScript
    • React
    • HTML/CSS
    • Node.js
    • MySQL + Sequelize ORM
  • Experience building good UI/UX based on outputs from design tools like Figma
  • Very familiar with source code management with git
  • Familiar with cloud providers like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High motivation and self-regulation
  • Embrace secure programming practices and the importance of testing
  • Keen attention to detail

The following experience would be advantageous

  • Developing bots
  • Developing with Facebook’s Graph API and Webhooks
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (eg. Azure Resource Templates, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)

This Full Time role sits in our experience team and reports to our Experience Team Manager. Enablo is HQ’d in Brisbane, Australia and our team of exceptional talents are currently primarily working from home, therefore remote working may be considered for the right candidate.
