The Enablo Finance Manager is a newly created position and a critical ingredient in our business success. This role is not for the faint-hearted, as it’s one one of those opportunities where we require someone with a sweet spot for the end-to-end financial accountant capabilities required within a scale up business – this means operational financial administration day-to-day right through to more complex commercial advice and financial management where required as our organisation grows.

This role offers a great opportunity to get involved in bringing the current, externally supported finance function in-house, and building on our financial accounting practices internally.

About the Role

  • Accounts Receivable – ensuring all clients are invoiced without errors in accordance with the work performed and proactively following up with clients on outstanding accounts receivable

  • Accounts Payable – manage the approval and payment of supplier bills

  • Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Cash Flow Forecasting, Journals, End of Month, Preparing Balance Sheets and Income Statements

  • Monthly Accounts – preparation and posting of all relevant journals

  • Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements

  • Monthly and quarterly filings for US obligations

  • Budgeting/Forecasting – prepare annual budgets and report on progress monthly – working with the Leadership Team to highlight any issues

  • Cash Flow Management and Forecasting – preparation of monthly cash flow reporting

  • End of financial year preparation and support to accountants

  • Quarterly Board Report Preparation

  • Sales Commissions – monthly and quarterly calculation of sales commissions for our Client Partners

  • Payroll – monthly payroll preparation globally as well including contractor timesheets. Leave management, setting up new employees using our HRIS, superannuation payments, payroll tax, FBT, and workers compensation

  • Management of multiple financial entities globally

  • Expenses – collect and input credit card expenses, reconcile each month

  • Adhoc finance support to our team and customers

  • Automate and improve processes – connect all systems to Xero

  • Operate strictly under our ISMS framework for ISO27001 compliance process and improve accuracy

    About you 

    We need a Finance Manager who can hit the ground running. You are someone who understands how to make an internal finance function efficient and effective, when it’s new and there is lots to get the business across and understand. You don’t let this phase you though and you are up for the challenge.

    Because you have great experience in a similar environment, you’ll have a solid routine and impeccable attention to detail, with a strong ability to analyse how we do things and confidently raise more effective ways of operating alongside the day-to-day requirements.

    At a minimum, you will bring:

    • Bachelor of Accounting or Equivalent preferably coupled with a CPA or Masters of Finance Accounting

    • Advanced experience with accounting software and Xero

    • Minimum 5+ years experience in both small and or large business, with exposure to the full lifecycle of financial management

    • Sound understanding of accounting and finance regulatory requirements

    • Deep understanding of: Google Sheets, Excel (Advanced), Financial Operations, Cash Flow Forecasting, Board Reporting

    • Competency, or ability to quickly gain competency, in using our core tools (including Workplace from Facebook, G Suite, Asana)

    • Approachable and ‘can do attitude’ and way of working – you make time for people and have experience working both autonomously and within a small growing finance team

    • Ability to grow the skills required as the business scales and grows

    • Pragmatic – you’re a problem solver, who knows how to embed and improve financial management best practices into a business that is scaling fast and growing at a significant pace (globally and locally)

    • Always a team player who is committed to continuous improvement and the success of a growing business
