Part of Enablo’s People & Culture team, Bec is responsible for finding, connecting and hiring future Enablers to join our team as we continue to grow! She’s responsible for the end-to-end recruitment and candidate experience for Enablo globally, starting from that initial connection, to their first day and ongoing experience with us.
What is your nickname? Bec or Sparkesy
What were you doing before Enablo? Most recently I’ve been finding and hiring talent for a Food Solutions business on the Sunshine Coast, and prior to that was doing the same for the Pharmaceutical industry in Melbourne and London.
What’s your vision of employee experience for the future? There’s a quote that has stuck with me for many years now – “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Our feelings are pretty powerful, and I want to make sure that those feelings are positive.
What excites you most about Enablo? Honestly, it’s difficult to narrow it down. I’m excited by the people, the collaboration, the innovation, the leadership, the opportunities, the tools and resources available, and the culture that I have joined. I’m also very excited about dog-friendly Friday’s in the office!
What is the achievement you’re most proud of? Hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea in 2012. I was 21 at the time, was out in the middle of the jungle with no phones or connection to family or friends, and it was mentally, emotionally and physically challenging. It was also one of the best experiences of my life! Since then, my love for hiking, travelling and being out in nature has only grown and I have based holidays around specific hikes like Trolltunga in Norway.
