Workplace Pricing Calculator

The team here at Enablo are huge fans of Facebook’s simple yet somewhat revolutionary pricing model for Workplace. Facebook have taken the position that they will charge monthly, in arrears for active users. The definition of an active user is as follows:

A monthly active user is a user who has done any of the below over the past 30 days:

– Visited Workplace through our website or a mobile device
– Logged in
– Checked their notifications
– Used the Work Chat app

In addition to this, there is no need for an up-front, or ongoing commitment, meaning that at any point your organisation can choose to leave without penalty – though we do believe you will not want to do this! 🙂

This position contrasts vastly with pretty much every other major software vendor, where even though they claim moving to a Software as Service model gives you flexibility and the ability to scale up and down as you see fit, their sales teams are incentivised to sign large up-front commitments and your organisation never gets to benefit from this flexibility.

From a pricing perspective, we commonly refer to Workplace pricing as the 3-2-1 model, which looks as follows:

– US$3 per active user for the first 1,000 users
– US$2 per active user for users 1,001 to 10,000
– US$1 per active user for all users above 10,000

Whilst the model, and pricing are beautifully simple, we frequently find that working out the math behind this, particularly when you need to factor in foreign exchange can be challenging for all but the greatest math whiz. To assist with that, we recently created and launched a Workplace Pricing Calculator.

Our calculator allows you to input your total number of employees, select your home currency and choose the percentage of monthly active users you expect to see. For reference, the team here at Enablo don’t consider our customers to be successfully enabled on the platform until they have achieved greater than 85% monthly active users across the organisation.

We hope that you find the calculator useful and would be happy to speak with anyone who is interested in learning more about the services or bots & integrations that we have on offer to help boost your adoption of the platform.
