From September 1, 2019, Workplace from Meta has further improved its security, providing improved support to our customers. You may notice updates to custom integrations; particularly the status identifying whether a custom integration is either approved or not.
What does this mean?
If any of your custom integrations appear to be “Not approved”, don’t sweat it! This means the integration hasn’t yet passed Facebook’s new app approval process. Depending on the permissions required, this ranges from a simple business and app review to a very detailed request for information (RFI) and pen-testing process. As part of the RFI process, a certification like ISO 27001 is required and Enablo is on its way to having this completed shortly.
While Enablo supports these changes to make Workplace from Meta the most secure collaboration platform available, this will impact some of the solutions we have offered our customers in the past.
From December 16, 2019, some of Enablo’s solutions used by our customers will no longer be available in the enablo.io platform. These solutions include:
- Acronyms
- Standup
- Photo Frames
- Impersonate
While we are working on replacing these solutions with versions that comply with the new security requirements, the below solutions will no longer be available on the Workplace from Meta platform moving forward:
- Impersonate
